Are your matte balloons really matte?

Short answer: Yes.

Long answer: No balloon is truly matte, as all balloons will have a shiny sheen to them. What you are looking at and looking for is an oxidized balloon. You can achieve this look with almost any quality latex balloon. The easiest way is to inflate the balloons 3 to 4 days prior to the event and place them in a well-ventilated, bright room.

You can also oxidize quickly if you assemble the garland and place it outside in sunlight (not heat) for 5 - 10 minutes.

Can I use the balloons in the heat and sunlight?

YES - but please keep reading! Air expands in heat, causing the balloon to overinflate and pop.

There are ways to work with this.

1 - Choose colors that are lighter in shade. Shy away from black or other dark colors outside in the heat.

2 - inflate each balloon to 100%, then fully deflate (seems silly, but trust me), then reinflate the balloon to 60-70% and tie it to seal. Be sure it is soft and round. You want a squishy balloon so it can expand.

3 - Place them in the shade only. If you can't, please don't install them until right before the event, and expect a pop or two without ruining your garland's look.

We give you enough balloons that losing a couple during transport, in sunlight, or to curious hands will still leave you with a full, beautiful garland.

4 - Be okay with a few of them popping. They are balloons; sometimes they're overinflated, and it is okay. Your party is still beautiful and perfect.

5 - ONLY USE QUALITY BALLOONS!! This will help you experience less popping in high-heat situations.

What balloon brands are in my kit?

We ONLY use professional-grade, high-quality balloons. There is a huge difference in texture, quality, color, and longevity between our balloons and those you would get at a local retail chain or on Amazon.

All of our balloon garlands will last 2+ weeks or longer (I've had some look great 2 months later when left indoors and away from heat vents) iI you follow our instructions and videos, you'll see this is built to last - or gift to someone else to enjoy!

Our favorite brands are Tuftex, Kalisan, and Sempertex. I do not sell any other latex brands as I have used them and find them inferior to these (thin, nippling, rips, holes, uneven colors).

Are latex balloons biodegradable and safe?

YES, yes, and yes.

We go the extra mile (and spend a little extra) to use professional-grade natural latex balloons that meet strict US and EU safety and material standards.

Our balloons are made from natural rubber latex, which comes from the sap of rubber trees. Unlike plastic or foil balloons, natural latex is biodegradable and can break down over time under the right environmental conditions.

Independent testing has shown that natural latex balloons biodegrade significantly faster than synthetic materials, though the rate varies with factors such as sunlight, moisture, and soil conditions. That’s why we’re big believers in responsible use, reuse when possible, and proper disposal.

We are in the early stages of working with a company that will accept them for recycling and repurposing, and we will update as soon as that is solidified.

Beautiful parties, made with more thoughtful materials.

What is the white powder on my balloon?

What is the white powder on my balloons?

Fresh-from-the-factory balloons often have a thin layer of talc powder inside and out to keep them from sticking to themselves or others during shipment.

The talc in the products we use has been tested to ensure there are no carcinogens, as we are now finding common in cheap products. low-quality Amazon balloons, and other Chinese-made latex balloons.

A couple of my balloons arrived with nibs, holes, or anomalies..

We attempt to touch every balloon and pull any that come to us damaged so they don't get passed along to you. That said, sometimes we miss them too - and one or two may end up in your kit. It's okay! Know that we always put extra balloons in each kit to accommodate issues like this or potential pops on your end.
